Please check back for the 2026 President’s Letter, which is sent to members in March inviting them to register for the upcoming pool season.

Member Fees

2026 Dues, Maintenance, & Fee Structure

  • Application Fee – $250 (non-refundable)  – Applies to new members only
  • Bond – $500  (refundable upon redemption) – Applies to new members only
  • Annual Maintenance Fee – $400
  • Annual Member Dues – $80 each family member
  • Children under age 3 on June 1, 2026 are free
Payment in full is due April 22nd for the 2026 season.  This means payment remitted via the website on or before April 22nd.

All Dues Must Be Paid Online: All dues must be paid online and can no longer be mailed to Membership or our P.O. Box.  Online processing fees apply.

  • Payments submitted online between April 23rd – May 8th will include a $50.00 Late Payment Fee.
  • Payments submitted online between May 9th – May 22nd will include $100.00 Late Payment Fee.  ​​​​
  • Payments submitted online on or after May 23rd or payments not received will result in a Bond assessment.  Your Bond will be assessed the $400.00 Maintenance Fee, plus the $100.00 Late Payment Penalty, for a total of assessment of $500.00.  Bond assessments result in forfeiture of the Bond and removal from the pool membership rolls.

Children over 25 years of age:  Per the bylaws (Article VI, section 2) included on your bond may be dependent children up to the age of 25 years, with the exception of handicapped or disabled dependents.  After that they will need to purchase their own bond.  Those children over 25 years old with active bondholders as parents should add their name to the wait list.  Once on the wait list they can be moved to the top of the list as a legacy, meaning someone whose parents are active bondholders.

HOUSEGUESTS & BABYSITTERS

  • The number of houseguests will be limited to two individuals per season at $125 for each houseguest.  To qualify as a houseguest, the person or persons must be living with the bondholder for a substantial portion of the summer.  When adding a houseguest on your online registration, in the space provided state the time period the person will be residing in your home and the reason why the houseguest is living with the bondholder.  Houseguests are subject to board approval.
  • The number of babysitters will be limited to two individuals per season, as well, at $125 for each babysitter.  When adding a babysitter on your online registration, include the babysitter’s name and age and in the space provided list the description as babysitter.

Bond Redemption Policy

  • Requests to redeem bonds must be in writing and must be signed by the person or persons whose name(s) are on the bond.  Redemption requests must be received each year by April 1st.  Redemption requests received or postmarked after April 15th will be assessed $400.00 plus all applicable fees.
  • Briefly state the reason for requesting the redemption.
  • The redemption check will be made payable to the person or persons whose names are on the bond.   Any exceptions must include documentation to support the payee exception.  Example:  A divorced couple’s names are on the bond, and the wife requests redemption of the bond and payment be made to her.  The redemption request letter must be signed by both and must also include a statement that the payment can be made to the wife only.
  • Include the address to which the redemption payment is to be mailed.
  • Send the redemption request letter and the bond to:  Silverside Swim Club, P.O. Box 7206, Wilmington DE 19803.  If the bond has been lost or cannot be found, explain this in the letter.
  • After receipt, review and approval of the request for redemption, the payment will be mailed as requested in the letter.

Bond Redemptions for the 2026 Season

Bond redemptions for the 2026 season will not be issued until November 1, 2025 due to the fact that our fiscal year ends on October 31, 2025.  Redemptions may be mailed to our P.O. Box prior to that date, but checks will not be cut until November 1, 2025.
